Jeff Bender

Jeff Bender is the president of Bender Engineering and Construction. As President, Jeff leads the Bender team in all aspects of the business. This includes engineering, construction, HERS ratings, commissioning, LEED consulting and green ratings, accounting, payroll, and marketing.Jeff is passionate about energy efficiency, which shows in the various services Bender Engineering and Con- struction provides. Jeff is a professional mechanical engineer in California, Nevada and Hawaii and a licensed general contractor in California and Nevada. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.

Cameron Bender

Started with Bender Engineering in August 2018. Graduated from the University of Nevada in 2014. Obtained a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a Minor in Physics. ASHREA Associate. Bike toured from Germany to Greece and back through 12 countries over the course of 5 months. Love skiing climbing and biking around Lake Tahoe. Not related to the owner.

Jacob Huntsberger

Jacob is a systems designer and process manager with over 10 years of experience in the building industry. Coming from southwest Ohio, he specializes in design collaboration, integration of multiple complex systems with a critical focus on interoperability, constructability, and implementation. Bender Engineering was fortunate to acquire his talents in September 2020. 

He is a jack of all trades, developing new and updating existing company design standards. His biggest contribution to date has been building the company’s Autodesk Revit workflows and shaping the future of our designs. 

Jacob earned an associate degree in Architectural Technology from Sinclair College.

Travis Goldade

Travis Goldade holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and has completed the majority of course work for a Master of Business Administration (MBA).  During his studies he had a particular focus on economic applications renewable energy design.  As part of his course work, he designed and constructed several custom solar air collectors, which are particularly economical in high desert climates (such as the Reno-Tahoe area).  During his working carrier, he has worked for several differing engineering firms handling product development, and business management.  In his off-time Travis enjoys, playing soccer, snowboarding, hiking, and studying history.

Marc Bender

Recently certified HERS Rater and youngest in the United States. Marc has been working for Bender Engineering since June of 2021. Does our Energy Compliance testing along with filling out CF2R forms to help clients get to final. Marc is currently going to school at Chapman University down in Orange County and works at Bender Engineering throughout the summer’s and breaks during his school year. Marc is very athletic training for marathons, skiing, on a soccer club, and playing basketball recreationally. In addition to his responsibilities at Bender Engineering, Marc produces and helps run The Locker Room podcast with his friend Wyatt Lister. They interview college athletes on the recruiting process and what has led them to their success. On the side, Marc also has his own Expanding Growth podcast while running a YouTube channel all on self-improvement. Despite Cameron not being related to Jeff Bender, Marc is actually Jeff’s son.

Michael Ukraine

Michael has been working with Bender for over 12 years and doing energy compliance for around 13-14 years. Michael got his undergraduate degree in Earth and Planetary Sciences by attending University of Colorado Boulder and eventually transferring and graduating at UC Santa Cruz. Michael enjoys the outdoors skiing, skateboarding, and hanging out with his family.
